INDUCTOR OF RESISTANCE
of the natural defense mechanism of plants

  1. General Details

    biocare Cu is a product to base of natural substances (polymers of Poly-D-Glucosamine, aminoacids, peptides) and Copper able to increase the activity of endogenous defense mechanisms of plants.

    biocare Cu acts through a complex mechanism known as SAR (Systemic Acquired Resistance) in which the polymers of Poly-D-Glucosamine act as elicitors able to interact with specific receptors of plant cells and induce the production of compounds with a protective action (Phytoalexins).

    The combined and balanced action of Poly-D-Glucosamine and copper, make biocare Cu a very interesting product in treatment against the most common fungal diseases such as Alternaria sp, Anthracnose, Botrytis cinerea, Mildius, Fusarium sp, Oidium , Phytophthora spp, Pythium spp, Sclerotinia sp, etc.

    The aminoacids and peptides present in biocare Cu increase all the biochemical functions of the plants improving the vegetative growth and the productivity

  3. Effects

    The use of biocare Cu in the vegetative phases advised allows:

    • to improve the resistance of plants to unfavourable conditions both biotic (pathogens) and abiotic (environmental stress);
    • to accelerate cell multiplication
    • to improve the development of buds;
    • to increase the synthesis of Chlorophyll and the photosynthetic activity with consequent increase of the production of dry matter and sugars.

  4. Doses and modality of use

    Foliar use: The dosage is referred to about 1.000 L of water for ha.

    Peach, Apricot, Plum, etc:
    – from setting-up, in presence of physiological stress caused by fungin attacks and by bacteria: 150-200 ml/hl. (1,5-2 L/ha).
    It’s advised to repeat the treatment post-harvest with the dose of 150 ml/hl. (1,5 L/ha).
    Be careful: some varieties could be sensitive to cupric treatments, and it may cause small burns.

    Apple, Pear:
    – in post-harvest, beginning of the fall of leaves: 200 ml/hl. (2 L/ha).

    Citrus, Grapes (wine and table):
    – repeat the treatment several times during the vegetative cycle: 200-250 ml/hl. (2,5-2,5 L/ha).

    Olive:
    – repeat the treatment several times during the vegetative cycle: 250-300 ml/hl. (2,5-3 L/ha).

    Tomato, Potato, Eggplant, Pepper, Vegetable marrow, Cucumber, Green bean, etc:
    – from the early stages of cultivation 100-150 ml/hl. (1-1,5 L/ha).
    Repeat several times during cultivation.

    Leafy vegetables:
    – from the early stages of cultivation: 50-100 ml/hl. (0,500-1 L/ha).
    Repeat several times during cultivation.

    Ornamental and flowering crops:
    – from the early stages of cultivation: 50-100 ml/hl. (0,500-1 L/ha).
    Repeat several times during cultivation.

  5. Warnings

    Do not mix biocare Cu with pesticides and not to associate with other products containing Copper.

    Do not apply in the period of flowering of the plants.

    The recommended doses are indicative and must be increased or decreased in relation to the characteristics of the area and the needs of each crop.
